FOOTBALL – The final score of the shortened season didn’t reflect the improvements against Foster on Friday. Despite the 49-9 loss, the Eagles never game up with a running clock in the second half.

The Eagles got on the board after failing to convert a 1st and goal series deep in Foster territory. A excessive celebration penalty was issued on the play against Foster forcing them to start at their two yard line. Sophomore Sione Takai hit the Foster running back and was tackled by Josiah Burnley and Justin Vallejo IIĀ  in the end zone for a safety. Senior Setefano Sete 74 yard punt return and Francisco Resendiz’s extra point gave the Eagles 9 points. The Eagles lose just nine seniors, but in several key positions. The next generation and expected 8th graders coming up, they expect to improve beyond this years 2-3 record. The two wins against Renton (forfeit) and Evergreen.

GIRLS BASKETBALL – With the start of their shortened season on Tuesday, the girls basketball team is in need of more players. Without additional players, the team could be forced to be cancelled. Just as bowling was due to no local bowling alley was available.
