Sports Report for Sept 10

Cross County

The Eagles competed in its first cross country meet of the season against Sammamish and Renton at Robinswood Park in Bellevue. With only three runners the Eagles were unable to field a team but ran individual times. Sophomore Devin Bounvavong-Santos placed 5th with a 21:12. Senior Michael Clair placed 13th 26:11 and Jamie Valdez placed 17th, 31:31. The girls team had no eligible runners.

Boys Golf

The trio of Lindbergh golfers competed against Sammamish on Tuesday. Results were not reported. The Eagles are in need of additional golfers to compete as a team. The rules require 5 golfers.

Girls Swimming/Diving

Junior Caelee Troung returned to the pool and is making more waves towards replacing more school records. Troung and the Eagles took on Bellevue at the Lindbergh pool. The Wolverines were powerful in their numbers to win the meet. Troung is 0.09 from breaking her second school record in the 50 free. She went 25.34 and the record of 25.25 was set in 1995.

She is also closing in on the 100 back record established in 2019 of 1:02.89. She swam 1:03.33.
