VOLLEYBALL
Lindbergh varsity beat Renton 3-0 to improve to 5-4 overall in the 2A Kingco Standings.
Three matches remain in the regular season, Thursday at Evergreen, next Tuesday at home for senior night against Tyee and Oct 28 at Sammamish. The girls are currently 27th overall in the RPI rankings.
Lindbergh JV lost to Renton 2-1 – Late Lindbergh rally comes up short in the 3rd set. Redhawks win 25-22 to win 2-1.

GIRLS SOCCER
Last night the girls soccer team improved to 9-1 on the season and into a tie for first place with a 5-2 victory over previously unbeaten Sammamish. Junior Rae’Ayn Gilbert scored a Hat Trick ( 3 ) of goals and senior Minji Rauch added 2 more to power the offense. “This was a complete team effort played at a very high level on talent, 100% effort and a whole lot of guts,” said head coach Scott Oyer. Its not known at this time, if a tiebreaker between both schools will be needed or if the RPI breaks the tie. As of this morning the Eagles are ninth in 2A soccer, while Sammamish is 17th overall. The Eagles play at Highline next Tuesday and the last regular season match vs Evergreen Oct 28 at Renton Memorial Stadium. Initial playoff brackets show a game on Oct 30 to determine seeding into the District 2/3 playoffs on Nov 2. Lindbergh is currently predicted to be the second seed behind Fife.
