Wrestling
Last week the boys and girls defeated 3A Bellevue and 3A Interlake in back to back matches Thursday. Sophomore Jasmin N Cruz-Abarca dominated her three matches and senior Treavor Atkins, currently ranked 6th in the state in the 285 weight class, won both matches under one minutes.
Boys Swimming and Dive
The Boys swim and dive team also competed against Interlake on Thursday and lost 126-50, Friday. Sophomore Heston Grant won the 500 free and senior Michael Clair won diving.
Girls Basketball
Senior Emlie Gacek returned to the floor for the first time since her sophomore year, scoring 17 points in the 50-25 win over Tyee Friday night. The team (2-5) continues to improve with its aggressive play and faces Evergreen (1-8) on Friday. This will be the girls senior night.
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball program enters its second week of no games under the COVID-19 protocols. The first potential game will be January 17 at home against Highline. It’s unclear at this time if any of the missed games will be played.
