I Got the Vaccine
COVID-19 affected many families including mine. Some have it worse than others but I think we can all agree we want this virus to end. It’s been over three years since it started and it’s hard to live like this, with so many restrictions, and requirements now. When they created the vaccine, people thought it would cure everything and life would go back to normal, turns out it was just the beginning of this event. Many places now require you to be vaccinated. Some places are eating at restaurants, and even keeping your job. My parents had to be vaccinated because of that.
I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on April 24, 2021 at CVS Pharmacy. I’m not scared of needles so I don’t mind the feeling of the needle going into my arm. After getting the first dose, my dad and sister felt tired and sore. I felt a little sore but that was it. The second dose is what scared me because people talked about this one being worse than the first one. That’s what worried me the most because the first dose wasn’t that bad so I didn’t know how I was going to feel afterwards. A couple months later on May 15, 2021, I got my second dose of Pfizer. It did feel stronger than the first dose and I felt way more tired than the first one and a more soreness in my arm.
At last, I got my Pfizer Booster on January 22, 2022 at the Outlet Collection Mall in Auburn. As soon as the needle went in, my arm was really sore. I felt really tired and sore in my arm. Once in a while I would have a mild headache. It didn’t hurt that bad but I knew it was there. Something I helped was sleeping. I would wake up and it would be gone.
In conclusion, getting the vaccine might sound scary but it will help you and the ones around you stay safe during these tough times.
