New Boys Basketball Coach Hired
Guimond to remain at LHS
This week announced that they have hired a new boys basketball coach after previous coach Michael Guimond recently resigned. Tyreese Breshers is originally from Los Angeles, California where he attended Price High School. While at Price, he won a state championship and was a two-time all-state performer.
As a national top 100 recruit he attended the University of Washington (UW). During his four years on Montlake, Breshers was a member of four league championship teams and a Sweet 16 appearance in 2010.. Breshers is a life-long lover of basketball with nearly a decade of coaching experience. While in the greater Seattle area he has coached at Ingraham High School, Kent Meridian High School and co-founded Fenix Basketball Academy. Breshers passion for the game runs deep and he looks forward to passing on the positive lessons and experiences he received for his coaches.
His favorite quote from an unknown author, “opportunities don’t go away, they go to the people you are prepared to take advantage of them.”
Coach Guimond resigned his position after the season for personal reasons. He will remain a teacher at Lindbergh. Assistant Coach Elliott Ilgenfritz also announced his resignation taking a teaching position abroad next year. The pair combined a 42-29 varsity record and a fifth place at state in 2020 to include a league and district championship.
