GIRLS TENNIS
Day1 of the 2A KingCo League Tennis Championships at Highline High School.
Singles
Angelina Puga beat teammate Johlesa Orm 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
Emi Hirano was eliminated by Riya Prasad of Sammamish.
Puga lost to second seed Justina Band 6-0, 6-0. She faces Prasad on Friday (if play resumes).
Doubles
#12 seed Cindy Phung and Jasmin Cruz-Abarca defeated 5th seed Foster then lost to #4 seed from Foster. They will play in the consolation semi-final against Tyee.
#6th seed Carlota Laygo and Jiali Deng beat #11 seed from Tyee, then losing to Sammamish. They will play in the consolation semi-final against Renton.
#14th seed Alyssa Ta and Sulamita Fedchyk were eliminated by a third seed from Sammamish.
All matches scheduled for THursday have been moved to Friday due to the rain.
