Last nights season opener was one that didn’t disappoint as the Eagles fought back  to win 24-21 against Clover Park in a non-league match-up. Malik Gilbert had three touchdowns on the night, but it was the last touchdown from four yards out with 4 seconds left in the game.  Gilbert received the hand off and nearly went untouched into the end zone for the win.

Justin Vallejo II put the Eagles on the board with an eight yard touchdown to trail 14-6.

Next week the Eagles will face cross town rival Hazen who they last played in 2019, losing to 36-14. The last win by the Eagles was in 2015 with a dominating performance, 40-18.
