The senior varsity volleyball game was held on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Lindbergh High School’s gym. Before the game, we wanted to hear what some of our volleyball seniors were feeling about it.
First, varsity player wearing number 3, Katie Lee is officially entering her fourth and final year on the Lindbergh High School varsity volleyball team. As a senior setter on the team, Katie has enjoyed connecting with her teammates and giving her teammates a chance to shine on the court. She shared, “…I just want to have fun and have a good last game..”
After asking how Katie felt about how this season went, she said, “… It’s been wanky but we pushed through in the end..” Though as a team they faced challenges and it felt a little off this year. Katie also feels that as a team they pulled through. To end this season Katie feels that it will be an exciting final game.
Second, varsity player wearing number 8, Jazlavina Villiamu is also entering her fourth and final year on the Lindbergh High School varsity volleyball team. As a setter and pin hitter on the team, Jazlavina found volleyball as a way to decompress, stating, “..Just you and the ball…” About the game, Jazlavina shares, “..We all deserve a break..” Hoping to have a fun game and an overall win.
When Jazlavina was asked how she felt about the season, she described, “There were ups and downs, but we overcame them. Overall, we made good connections with each other.” As the season ends, Jazlavina starts feeling sentimental and shocked by how fast it went by.
Since senior night, our seniors have been continuing to practice so they can achieve victory during playoffs so let’s cheer, be loud, and be proud to guide them to victory.
