At Lindbergh High School there are a lot of elective class options. Visual communication is one of them. Mr. Goodwin runs the Visual Communication class. This class includes the use of design thinking skills and design as a process.
KylaRae O´neal is a senior at Lindbergh High School. This is her third year at Lindbergh, as she transferred from Kentridge High School in the middle of her freshman year. Kyla stated the most fun thing about the class is getting to design and learn new things every week. ¨At first, the class was hard to understand and adjust to but when you get the hang of it, it makes it a lot quicker and easier¨ KylaRae said.
The most recent thing they’re learning in the class is making their own patterns and shapes from Adobe and Photoshop. Kyla´s biggest challenge in the class is figuring out new projects every week and learning new tools in Photoshop. Kyla looks forward to seeing some of her designs she creates and being able to figure things out without help.
¨I´ve had 2 classes with Mr. Goodwin and they have all been fun to me because he never leaves the class stuck on one thing, he always has something new for us to do.¨ KylaRae also expressed how well Mr.Goodwin is to the class. ¨Mr. Goodwin is extremely helpful and understan
ding whenever a student in the class needs help or assistance with one of the assignments¨ stated KylaRae.
As the end of the year is approaching quickly, KylaRae is overwhelmed but extremely excited to graduate and see what the future has planned for her.
