Exciting news, wrestling had their senior night this past week. It was a good day for the wrestling team, not all of them were able to wrestle and not all of them won but everyone who did wrestle did their best. The seniors that did get to wrestle won their matches so it was a great senior night for them.
Colton Teague, wrestling 152, won his senior night match. Colton has been wrestling for four years and plans to go to college to study nuclear or astrophysics. David Myers, wrestling 157, lost his senior night match, David has been wrestling for 10 years and plans to go to the Navy after high school. Gabe Camarao, the last senior to wrestle on senior night, has been wrestling for three years and wants to go to Japan with his family.
Some seniors weren’t able to wrestle during senior night for various reasons. Marshall Manago, 175 on the team, has been wrestling for three years and wants to continue wrestling in college while majoring in English education and minoring in creative writing. Elijah Mullins the 190 has been wrestling for 2 years and will be going to Renton Technical College for automotive.
Purnima Gurung, the only senior girls wrestler, sadly didn’t have a match for her senior night. She has been wrestling for five years and plans to go to college to register for nursing and later she’s going to go back for her bachelors nursing degree.
