On Saturday, February 8th the Lindbergh High School boys wrestling Team had an impressive showing at the Wrestling League competition, with eight wrestlers securing victories and advancing to the next level—Regionals, the final step before the state championship.
The wrestlers heading to Regionals include Elijah, Hosa, Colton, Chris, Levi, Oliver, Isaac, and Gabe. When asked about how they prepare for a match, the responses varied. Chris, for example, mentioned that the most challenging part of wrestling is adapting to the different styles of each opponent. “It’s difficult because every wrestler has a different approach, and the sport itself is so varied,” he explained.
Other wrestlers shared different perspectives on what makes wrestling so tough, but all of them agreed on one thing: it takes a unique combination of strength, strategy, and mental toughness to succeed.
The Lindbergh team now looks ahead to Regionals at Chief Sealth High School, where they hope to continue their journey toward the state championships. With such

a strong performance at Leagues, they are excited for what’s next.
On Saturday, February 15th, the Lindbergh High School wrestling team excelled

at the Regional Tournament at Chief Sleath International High School, with all eight wrestlers who won Leagues also capturing Regional championships. Their performances showcased determination and skill, with each athlete facing their own unique challenges on the mats.
Colton Teague earned an impressive second-place finish after a fierce battle for first. Though he didn’t take the top spot, his performance was outstanding and made him the only wrestler on the team to place second. Elijah Mullins secured a third-place finish in his bracket, despite losing to another wrestler coincidentally named Elijah.
Levi Ralston fought through a tight match, ending 13-15. In a dramatic final few seconds, he executed a near-perfect cradle, earning critical near-fall points to secure the win.
After a 12-hour day at Chief Sleath, all eight Lindbergh wrestlers earned the chance to compete at State, marking a successful and exciting day for the team.
