Evan Luttrell is stepping into his new role as Head Coach for the Lindbergh High School Boys and Girls Track and Field team, and he couldn’t be more excited. Already an Assistant Coach for the Boys Swim and Dive team, he helped lead them to a highly successful season, and now he’s bringing that same energy and passion to the track this spring.
With the season kicking off soon, Coach Luttrell has been hard at work preparing his athletes for competition. He’s focused on building strength, speed, and endurance while also creating a team culture that emphasizes hard work, discipline, and support for one another. He believes that success isn’t just about individual performance, it’s about pushing each other to be better every single day.
Their first jamboree is quickly approaching on Thursday, March 13th, at Renton Memorial Stadium. Luttrell is eager to see his athletes in action and has high expectations for the season ahead.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to work with such a motivated, hardworking group of athletes,” Luttrell said. “I know we’re going to see some big results—personal bests, points scored, and just an all-around great effort at every meet.”
Luttrell knows firsthand that success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes dedication, perseverance, and the willingness to put in the work when no one is watching. And that’s exactly what he expects from his team. He’s ready to give them everything he’s got, and he’s confident they’ll rise to the challenge. With his leadership and the team’s determination, this season is shaping up to be an exciting one. Lindbergh Track and Field is just getting started, and there’s no telling how far they’ll go.
