The Renton School District athletic office announced the Kingco Conference has announced start dates for the remaining sports seasons. The conference already will bring back fall sports beginning with football on February 24 and the remaining fall sports on March 1.

Today the conference switched sports from season 2 to 3 and 3 to 2 as announced by the WIAA earlier in the month. According to the email from Brian Kaelin, Renton School Athletic Director stated the league is interest in protecting spring sports due to their lost season last year. This comes on the heels that WIAA announced they would have spring sports during season 2 and winter sports during season 3.

KingCo plans to offer the following seasons:

• KingCo Season 1-   March 1 – April 3 (Fall Sports – Boys Golf, Boys Tennis, Cross Country, Football (Feb. 24 start), Girls Soccer, Girls Swim and Dive, and Volleyball
• KingCo Season 2-   April 5 – May 8 (Winter Sports – Boys Basketball, Boys Swim, Competitive Cheer, Competitive Dance, Girls Basketball, Gymnastics (March 29 start), and Wrestling))
• KingCo Season 3-   May 3 – June 12 (Spring Sports – Badminton, Baseball, Boys Soccer, Fastpitch, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, and Track & Field).

The district is offering out of season conditioning for any student interested in conditioning beginning February 1. Students must pre-registered via Family ID and follow the strict procedures. That information is emailed to those students who pre-register.
