Plans announced for 2021-2022 school year
Families must select by May 16 to remain full time or virtual

April 29, 2021
The Renton School District has announced the official plan to return to full time learning starting next school year. According to the district website, families have two choices. Five-days a week in-person or a virtual program not connected to any Lindbergh teachers.
Families who select five days week in person learning will return to pre-COVIDschool scheduling beginning with the first day of school on September 1 (complete calendar). Transportation will also return to pre-COVID scheduling. In addition, three feet of physical distancing will be required in schools, students and staff will continue to wear masks, frequent hand washing/sanitizing and increased custodial support.
The second option is a fully remote program offered through Talley High School’s Virtual Program. Students will no longer be “attached” to their comprehensive secondary school (exception of athletics).
Remote learning will be offered through Edgenuity, and students will be supported by a certificated teacher from Edgenuity, not a Lindbergh teacher. Edgenuity courses offer recorded video instruction (there will be no live Zoom instruction). Students can access online courses any time of day and can complete courses at their own pace. A Renton School District Virtual Program mentor will check in with students weekly, using Zoom.
Families are asked to complete a survey in Skyward Family Access account by Sunday, May 16, 2021. This will allow for schools and the district to determine staffing levels at each building.
To make your selection (in-person or fully remote) for the 2021-22 school year:
- log into your Skyward Family Access account (be sure you’re in your family account, not a student account)
- login through your web browser on any device (survey not accessible from mobile app)
- complete a survey for each of your students (you may choose different options for different students)
- survey is accessible by parent/guardian listed as Primary in Skyward (to ensure only one survey is completed for each student)
