Weekend Sports Round-Up 5/17/21

The first week of spring sports concluded with multiple events on Friday and Saturday.
Both boys and girls track wins beat Renton and Evergreen/Tyee on Friday at Highline Stadium.
Individual girls winners
Gloria Gonzalez in Shot Put, Discus and Javelin; Lauren Jones in 800M
Individual boys event winners
Devon Sandberg in High Jump; Alex Bui in 100M and 200M; Christian Lucas in 110H Hurdles and 300M hurdles; Kyle Mallory in Long Jump; Joshua Blesener in Triple Jump; Ezra Celestine-Cyrus 400M; 4x100M relay team and 4x400M relay team.
On Saturday, the boys baseball team beat Evergreen/Tyee on the pitching performance of senior Parker Duncan who struck out 13 batters. Diego Dumlao, Duncan, Dominick Truschel and Rylie Wagner each had multiple hits on the day.
Softball lost to Evergreen 7-6, no details were reported.
Girls tennis lost 2-3 against Renton. Johlesa Orm & Olivia St. Marie, won, 6-4, 6-3; Kathy Nguyen & Gloria Yuen, won 6-4, 6-4
Boys soccer beat Evergreen 4-1.
