Dinner Spots For HOCO

Looking for a place to eat. So many options in the Fairwood, Southcenter, downtown Renton area for you to enjoy.

Where does a catcher sit down to eat dinner? Behind the plate. Where are you going to sit down to eat? Whether you are going with a friend group, with a date, or even by yourself, it’s good to treat yourself to a nice dinner before you hit the dance floor at Homecoming.

There are many good places around us with good prices and quality. You have some options if you wanna stay local in Renton, whether you wanna keep it cheap or not we’ve got you covered. On the cheap hand, you have fast food. Not the classiest option but still a good option. McDonald’s and Wendy’s are good and cheap grab-and-go if you want to get dancing as fast as possible. How about something a little more dapper? Down at the Landing, there are quite a few options:
The Rock, a well-rated pizza place
Red Robin, a very good burger joint with a variety of fun menu items
Exit 5, a great Korean BBQ restaurant (although it’s a little on the pricey side)
Dough Zone, a favorable dumpling place.

If you don’t mind a little car trip you can head over to Tukwila, home to our illustrious Southcenter Mall. Yes, there is the food court there, not to mention the many restaurants around the area such as:
Olive Garden, a pasta place where you can free and unlimited breadsticks
Bai Tong Restaurant, a splendid sit-down Thai restaurant
Cheesecake Factory, all-around classy restaurant (wait times can be a little long sometimes so make sure to call ahead and check out the times)
Din Tai Fung, a great general Chinese restaurant.

A closer area is our dear neighbor Kent. Closer than Tukwila but a little ways south. Their selection of restaurants include:
Paolo’s Italian Restaurant, a family-run Italian restaurant
Trapper Sushi Co., a refreshing sushi restaurant
Shibu Ramen, a highly rated ramen restaurant
Duke’s Seafood, an exquisite seafood place

Maybe you have some dietary restrictions. Many of the restaurants we suggested also offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and many other options. If you don’t want to risk going to a restaurant that may not have what you need, these are some options:
Blossom Vegetarian Restaurant, is a great Vietnamese vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Renton
Pabla Indian Cuisine, a low-key Indian restaurant dedicated to vegetarian dishes
Raining Tacos Mexican Food Truck, a low-key Mexican restaurant that offers many different vegan options.

Each restaurant has its ups and downs you have to consider such as travel time and wait time to get your food. We would recommend it if you are worried about travel or wait times to come to a restaurant in Renton and to always if possible make reservations either the day before or the morning of hoco to make sure you get a seat.
