Jeff “Stu” Stuart was a teacher/coach for 32 years at LHS

His horse voice, quick with and tough demeanor gave Jeff “Stu” Stuart legendary status in his 32 years at Lindbergh. He passed away on July 6 in Arizona. A memorial service will be August 20, 2022 at 1 pm at the Lindbergh Gym or “Stu’s House.”

Stuart was a traffic safety instructor to hundreds of students. Years later the coaching bug starting with boys basketball with other stints in girls basketball, football, track and field. He also had a brief coaching career in gymnastics in 2010. He was also the school’s athletic director, when athletic directors were allowed to be teachers. He retired in 2017 after a total of 37 years of teaching.

Once word of Stuart’s passing spread, the private Facebook Group – “so you went to Lindbergh HS in Renton.” began filling with fond memories.
