Kaur selected October Rotary Youth of the Month

Associated Student Body (ASB) President Anmol Kaur was lasted as Renton Rotary Youth of the Month for October. Kaur, a senior is active in Eagle Crew and ASB. After school she is involved in dance studies called Bhangra (originates from India). She is heavily involved with her church and spends time volunteering to teach younger students how to read and write in Punjabi. She plans to attend a four-year university such as the University of Washington to study Biochemistry then apply to medical school to become a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.

Rotary Club of Renton recognizes Renton School District high school students each month as Youth of the Month. After being selected by counselors at each of the districts high schools, a selection committee of Rotarians reviews applications and interview students to identify those who will be selected as Youth of the Month. The award is given to students who possess leadership skills, maintain a good grade point average, participate in school activities and volunteer in their community.
