It’s a great day to be an eagle! As Boys Basketball is coming to an end with a nice amount of wins, the team is excited for the last few games left. Through the season the boys have had great energy and positive attitudes with each other and the opposite teams.

Ayoub Jarato is a Junior at Lindbergh High School and is on the Varsity team. I asked Ayoub what his favorite thing about basketball is, he responded saying ¨My favorite thing is seeing the community and creating a lot of friendships during the season. Another thing is also the team bonding we have¨. Ayoub said his hardest part of basketball during the season is learning how to adapt to new tricks and moves. 

Some strategies Ayoub uses are ¨Staying calm and not overwhelming himself with negative thoughts¨. ¨My favorite team to play against is Foster because it’s fun to play against them and good competition¨ said Ayoub. I asked Ayoub if basketball was in his plans after school and he replied ¨No, I would like to go to college and just do basketball without looking for a scholarship in it¨. 

I asked Ayoub who is his favorite person on the team to play with, he replied ¨Lukas is my favorite team player because he’s very understanding and he’s also a good hype man during the games¨.

Ayoub looks forward to finishing the season strong and having fun during the games. Ayoub also hopes to bring more wins home for Lindbergh High School
