Nigel Nguyen, a tenor in the Lindbergh High School Choir, performed at the Fall Choral Concert that happened on November 4th, 2025 at 7 p.m., featuring four to five pieces.
The finale performance “Hallelujah” had energetic choreography with dancing, clapping, and shouting that made the concert memorable. Nguyen described it as a lot of fun, when explaining what stood out most about the evening’s performance for both the performers and audience.
The concert focused on uplifting people through music and performance at Lindbergh High School. “I hope that they felt more uplifted and happy after experiencing our performance,” Nguyen said about what he wanted the audience to take away from the evening.
“Bridged Over Troubled Water” and “Hallelujah” were particularly challenging to perform for the choir members. Nguyen said he had a very hard time singing both pieces during the two months of preparation leading up to the concert.
The choir rehearsed for about two months before the performance to prepare the pieces. The concert had fall-themed music, though Nguyen said the songs can be used in any setting beyond just the fall season.
Talking during rehearsals made preparing challenging for the performers throughout the practice sessions. “There were a lot of people talking during rehearsals,” Nguyen said, though the choir managed to pull through and deliver a strong performance for families, students, and staff who attended.
The Fall Choral Concert drew attendance from many families, students, staff, and was a very memorable experience for Nguyen. The choir’s next performance is scheduled for December 16th at 7 p.m. at Lindbergh High School.
