Phie Setiao, Reporter
Phie Setiao is a freshman at Lindbergh High School taking journalism. They’re determined to learn journalistic techniques and photography in the class.
A self-taught artist and animator, Phie loves the craft and joy of creation. They live to make and enjoy. Additionally, they love music of all kinds. Their favorites are The Beatles and They Might be Giants. Vinyl collecting is another hobby they have.
Phie’s a big family person too! They’re the youngest of three and love their siblings dearly. They’ve lived in Washington their whole life and a child of Southeast Asian immigrants. Their father grew up in Southern France and their mother was born in Thailand but raised in the states.
Phie also likes history and travelling. They’re interested in modern history, such as the World Wars and the likes. They love visiting museums and seeing historical monuments. They’ve been to Canada and several states, but wish to visit Europe one day.
They’ve always been interested in writing and they chose journalism to help them learn. While challenging, Phie is more than happy to be a journalist and hopes they’ll see everyone around!
