Sports Report for Sept 15
Last night the girls soccer team defeated Renton 8-0 behind an impressive five goals from junior forward Rae’Ayn Gilbert. Senior forward Minji Rauch added two goals and senior midfielder Analiyah Fornerette added one to the total as well. Great team defense kept a clean score sheet and helped freshman goalkeeper Haley Yount ease into her first high school start. The next game is against Foster at Renton Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m on Thursday
Boys tennis competed against Highline Tuesday, winning 4 out of 5 matches.
Gene Bushaw won both singles sets 6-2, 6-1.
Ethan Dang won both singles sets 6-3, 6-1
Justin Singsanavong won both singles sets 6-0, 6-0.
Spencer Edwards and Andrew Carlisle won both doubles sets 6-3, 7-5. (correction in the score)
Derek Blaiotta lost both singles sets 6-7, 5-7.
Volleyball competed against Foster Tuesday, both junior varsity and varsity lost 3 sets to none. Next volleyball match is Thursday
