It’s officially May and the class of 2026 is one step closer to graduation. Many seniors have mixed emotions about the year ending, let’s hear from one of Lindbergh’s seniors of the year.
Uriel Espinal is a senior at Lindbergh High School. He’s been attending Lindbergh since his Freshman year. At first he didn’t really know any of the staff, nor his way around the school, now he has built his character and confidence throughout the school years.
Espinal’s favorite year of high school was his sophomore year. “I’m not going to lie that it was prime time for me,” Espinal says. His favorite class he’s ever taken is Human Impact with Mr. Ase. “You know It was fun, we got to learn about plants and the environment.” Espinal expresses.
A memory he’ll never forget is when he was on Lindbergh’s baseball team his junior year and hit a ball deep to left field. Unfortunately this year he couldn’t participate in the sport due to work, but treasures the memories and friendships he made being on the team.
Some of his accomplishments that he’s proud of are getting student of the month through the years. He’s also received Eagle Flight tickets which rewarded him with free ice cream bars, and who doesn’t like ice cream right? After graduation Espinal plans to attend Renton Technical College and major in business.
This school year has flown by, especially for seniors. It’s sad but bittersweet at the same time. Although the school year is not over and there are still events like senior barbecue and breakfasts. Seniors like Espinal have shown that they are ready for whatever comes next.
