Jordan Holland is the CTE Business Education, video production, and robotics teacher. He is also the class of 2029 advisor. He was born in Los Banos, California, but grew up in Renton and attended Renton High School.
Holland’s early experiences working with kids come from YROC (Youth Reach Out Center), which was located at Union Gospel Mission (UGM) in the south end of Seattle. He attended and grew up in that program. He enjoyed summer camp so much that he became a day camp counselor during his Junior year of high school.
During high school, he played basketball at Renton high school. In the 2011-2012 season, he played on varsity as a freshman. He averaged two points per game and 0.4 steals. In the 2012-2013 season, he was number six in charges taken in the State of Washington. He played power forward and shooting guard in high school. He played point guard with the number one team in the state.
After graduating from high school in 2014, he attended the University of Washington, Tacoma, receiving a BA in Computer Science and a minor in Technical Communication. Graduating in 2020, he joined the technology industry, working for companies including Disney, Fox, and Honda. He then became a paraeducator at Renton High School.
Holland’s favorite part about teaching at Lindbergh is the kids. He enjoys the facilities, but the kids make him laugh every day. He has been learning how to manage a classroom, build social connections, and has an interest in video game production.
