At Lindbergh High School (LHS), there’s a Latinx club for Hispanic students to express their culture and history with others. Lets meet some members from the club!

Ashley Chaves is a junior at LHS and she’s the president of the Latinx club. What made her join the club is because she wants to express her culture to others. Chaves states “ I like how everyone gets along as a team and how they all can communicate/understand each other”.

Daira Moreno is a freshman at LHS and she’s the vice president of the Latinx club. Moreno wanted to join the club because “ I wanted to express my culture and do more activities”. Moreno says that in the club, people get to practice Hispanic dances, learn more about different Hispanic cultures, and plan upcoming events.

Keren Molina Velazquez is a freshman at LHS and she’s the club’s treasurer. Molina Velazquez joined the club because she wanted to represent/support her culture . Molina Velazquez says “I like the club because of the activities and getting to know new people”. Molina Velazquez also says that in the club, you get to know Hispanic culture more and also help plan events.
All three of the club members explained that the way they get people to join is talking to people about the club, putting up flyers, and will soon be setting up a social media account with more information.
The meetings are held every other Thursday from 2:10pm-3:00pm. The dance practices are held everyday except Thursday at 2:10pm-3:00pm either in room 328 or outside the Washington House. On Thursdays, your able to dive deeper into different Hispanic cultures by doing activities and having fun.
