Jazz Ancheta is a junior at Lindbergh High School. He is on ASB as the executive board vice president and he is on the tennis team as a captain.
He is a league champion for tennis. He plays doubles one position. Ancheta’s opinion on tennis is to try it because it’s not a popular sport and people should be open and confident in it.
Ancheta’s idea of being a leader is to bring others up by encouraging teammates, showing up to games, displaying good sportsmanship, and always giving full effort. This is the leader he strives to be.
His father also played tennis in high school, inspiring Him to follow in his footsteps.
During his freshman year, he asked his dad for an old racket so he could begin playing just like him.
As Tennis captain he learned to bring the community together as most of the Lindbergh tennis team were seniors.leading to new faces teaching him patience and responsibility to help them.
Advice for the junior varsity player coming into varsity is to never give up and try your best and never settle, always aim high.
He was part of the honor program in elementary school and Ancheta was always a student officer and involved in ASB since first grade.
He has traveled to Rome, a cradle stone of civilization of the ancient world and traveled west into the Pacific and Asia. One place Ancheta has not gone to yet is Greece; he had only dreamed of going to Greece and also thought about living there.
In addition to tennis he has also done track and field in his freshmen and sophomore years and he went to state twice when he did sprinting for track.
