Co-Vice Presidents of community service Leah Chen and Solyanna Tedros highlight the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) clothing drive. Inviting students and staff to donate new or gently used clothing to support local needs.
Lindbergh DECA is hosting this drive to help community members who need financial aid and may not be able to afford new clothes. The drive also provides the opportunity for DECA Members to go to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia and learn from informative workshops on leadership, public speaking, business, and more.
It’s important to support this event because it helps families in our area, makes a meaningful difference, and supports the Lindbergh DECA Chapter. Participating in club activities like this is significant because it strengthens the school community, helps make a real impact, supports meaningful causes, and teaches leadership and service skills. Chen stated, “Even small contributions can make a big change.”

Tedros said, “People pay attention to students who are involved and care about this community, and take that into account when picking students for opportunities.”
You can bring gently used or new clothing that’s wearable and free of tears and stains, such as shirts and sweatshirts, pants, scarfs, and more. Drop off the clothes in Mrs. Luttrell’s in Room, 132, right by the student store before or after school, or during lunch. It ends on Dec. 4th, so don’t be afraid to stop by!
