At Lindbergh High School, students find many ways to connect, grow, and discover their passions. For Vincent, an 11th-grade student, that passion is badminton. As a dedicated member of the school’s badminton club, Vincent brings not only his love for the game but also a vision for its future.
As a dedicated member of the school’s badminton club, Vincent brings not only his love for the game but also a vision for its future. Vincent described the club as “fun, exciting, very inclusive.” To him, the badminton club isn’t just an activity—it’s a community. It’s a place where students of all backgrounds can feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow, whether they’re beginners or experienced players.
Vincent chose the club simply because he loves playing badminton. “It’s very fun to play,” he said with a smile. But beyond just playing, Vincent is also thinking about how the club can improve. He believes the school should take the badminton club more seriously. “Make it a sport and give more funding,” he suggested. He hopes the club can one day receive the same recognition and resources as other sports teams at the school.
Looking ahead, Vincent has clear hopes for the club. He wants it to become an official sport so that members can compete with other schools. His dream is for the club to grow stronger, become more organized, and offer more opportunities for students to challenge themselves.
As club vice-president, Vincent also feels a strong responsibility, “I would want to make the club better for everyone and fun for everyone to play in,” he said. For new members, he has a simple but warm message: “The club is very inclusive.”
Vincent’s passion and leadership show how one student’s dedication can help build a stronger, more inclusive community—one badminton match at a time.
