
Elisha Ta is a junior at Lindbergh High School and is on the Lindbergh tennis team His brother would motivate Ta to join the tennis team during his sophomore year.
Ta’s dad was one that motivated him to join and keep playing. While playing more difficult opponents Ta stays in a good mindset and keeps improving and not giving up. Before a match they do stretches and practice shoots.
A usual practice day at school is warmup and then listen to what the coach has to say. Ta usually practices for two hours. Ta’s advice for junior varsity is to keep working on techniques and have a good mindset for success.
Ta’s teammates are the reason that he keeps playing at maximum effort. Ta feels anxious when the match starts but he gets the flow of it after playing a bit. Ta gets nervous when the game is close to close but when he takes a deep breath he looks in.
During Ta’s time on the tennis team he has an extremely clean record of never losing a single match in doubles . The team in general lost some games, Ta’s matches always ended in victory for him.
Ta used to play clarinet for Nelson middle school and during freshman and half of sophomore year, but then he quit the band because he didn’t like going to matches for long periods of time to perform for five minutes, and then was forced to watch the match.
Ta’s favorite color is green. Ta really enjoys taking robotics with Mr Holland. Ta is a left-handed writer and he has one sibling, he was on the tennis varsity team before he graduated last year.
