Solyanna Tedros is the president of Pro Justice Union (PJU) and she strongly believes in PJU’s mission. PJU is a club dedicated to hearing student voices and making changes.
“Schools should be made for the students by the students.” Says Tedros. She is very passionate about serving her school community. She says she saw a need for leadership and an opportunity for growth so she decided to run for president.
Tedros hopes for the club to grow and put on more events. She also hopes to continue to make more student leaders and bring real changes to our school. Tedros loves seeing the impact PJU makes. “The more students we listen to, the better our school will be!” She says.
Tedros loves her family and they are a huge inspiration to her. “They always push me to try new things even when I’m scared,” says Tedros, “they help me focus on the positive and not the negative.” Tedros’s older sister also attends Lindbergh and serves as PJU’s Public Relations officer.
Tedros has a natural ability to find solutions and problem solve on her feet. When problems arise she stays calm and confident. “I always try to look at the bigger picture and make a calculated decision.” Tedros says. Her ability to overcome adversity makes her an effective president.
“My favorite thing about PJU is watching our ideas come to life.” Says Tedros. “I love seeing other students reap the benefits of our hard work.” Tedros helped put together the peer support group through PJU and she now serves in that way as well.

Although important, being in PJU president is a lot of work on top of managing school work, other clubs, and her social life. “It’s really hard to manage everything,” Tedros shared, “I just try to prioritize and take breaks.”
