Markos Ferew, Lukas Koryavykh, and Suber Hassan are all players on Lindbergh High Schools 2025 Boys soccer team. When asked why they love soccer, their answers differed.
Markos Ferew #56, is a junior midfielder on the varsity team. He averages a goal and an assist per game. He was only eight years old when he realized that he enjoyed the sport leading him to play everyday.
When asked what he enjoyed most about soccer Ferew stated, “ tricking defenders and scoring goals hypes me up, it feels good. “ Ferew goes on to state that, “ it’s more fun when you play well. ” Encouraging others to practice.

Ferew´s teammate, sophomore Lukas Koryavykh, averages one assist and an impressive 90 minutes per game. He has been playing soccer for ten years, winning his first tournament as young as eight years old.
Although his ten years of club experience may appear intimidating to new soccer players, Lukas encourages others to try the sport out stating, “ you really just need to find a ball, some friends, kick it around, have fun, and watch the game. ”
Lukas’ words can be exemplified in varsity swinger Suber Hassan. The sophomore scored one goal and one assist in his game against Sultan back in March, a great start to his first year on the team. Ferew encouraged Suber to get back into soccer seeing as he played club in seventh grade

Although Suber isn’t fond of the sport he does love the athletic and companionship aspects of it. “ I hate running but it keeps me in shape and we just have fun at practice most of the time. “ Suber states.
These three Lindbergh soccer players each have different backstories but similar motives; despite having different starts, they unite on the field. They hope their love for soccer encourages those who are hesitant to join to try it out and have fun.
